- NO PETS ALLOWED with an exception of a service animal, if you bring a service animal to a soccer game or practice it must be on a leash and you are responsible for cleaning up after the animal.
- See the full AYSO pet policy here, which includes the definition of a service animal: https://www.aysovolunteers.org/policy-pets-on-the-field/
AYSO Region 151 doesn't allow pets at games/practices due to the following reasons:
- Games are held at a variety of locations that don't allow pets, our region or other regions that host games are likely to lose access to fields if pets are brought to games.
- There are many people with allergies to animals (including some of our current coaches)
- Pets can interfere with the game by either chasing children or a soccer ball
- Pets can easily distract children from participating in their soccer games/practices
- Many children have fears in regards to pets
- Pets can be aggressive to other pets
- Please clean up after yourself and your family, especially trash from snacks for team players
- Respect others and be courteous
- No Tobacco products allowed on the field. This also means smokeless products (E-cigs, vaping) and chew
- No foul language, we understand that occasionally a word may slip but please watch your language
- Players Play, Coaches Coach, Referees Ref, Parents Cheer! We would like this to be a FUN, POSITIVE experience for the children.
- No one is allowed to stand behind the Goals (or anywhere behind the goal area). This is dangerous!! The Referee will stop the game and it will not continue until the person moves.
